Do Dollar Signs Limit Your Childs Education

By George Phillips

While teaching salaries vary greatly from state to state, child education is improving from the under paid teachers of the past 10 years. It is sad to realize that dollar signs may limit child education if you happen to live in a state with low teacher salaries, or where the states schools are short on teaching funds.

Another aspect which limits child education in the public school system, is the unfairness of the teacher hiring process. You would think that your school would want to hire the most qualified teachers, but that is often not what happens. The way our schools are set up, it is possible for an individual to control who gets hired and who does not. And many times has a vested interest in the outcome as well.

For instance local (Teacher A)… has a Masters Degree in education, is very sharp, enthusiastic, pleasant personality, married with 3 children of her own, and totally committed to child education. Having made a career commitment to be a teacher.

(Teacher B)… on the otherhand just completed enough schooling to be able to teach, not really sure even if she wants to be a teacher, just looking for a job, and lives out of state where they went to college. So why is your local schools hiring Teacher B, and not Teacher A?

Do you want your childs education in the hands of a teacher like B, when a teacher like A has applied, lives in your city, is available locally to teach your child, and is not being hired…

Do not think for a minute this is not happening in your local schools, it happens every year in almost every school district… Your sons and daughters education is important, and the best child education teacher for the job… may be the waitress at your local steak house, who was not hired as a teacher by your school! It is your duty to get involved and find out what is going on in your schools hiring program.

Ease Your Childs Education with Preschool Learning

By Ronald Thomas

There are numerous schools providing various types of preschool learning with some of them having an aim of providing education while others only provide childcare with not much emphasis on education. Of course, it is always better to put yor child in preschool learning where early social skills are taught as they form an important part in the overall development of the child.

With preschool learning the child learns about the interpersonal interaction that occurs in the classroom. This skill has an important part in the future education of the child. Preschool learning also teaches classroom skills like listening to the teacher and following instructions of the teacher.

This skill of listening to the teacher and obeying instructions is a skill that has to be developed in the child so that he or she will be able to, and be willing to listen to instructions and orders of teachers of other classes. Preschool learning also develops the habit of becoming a part of a group of children. He or she learns that things have to be shared and that all the attention cannot be showered on them.

Formal education too is imparted in preschool learning just like reading and language skills, however, more than this formal education, it is the social skills that play an important part in the life of a child. With the developement of social skills, the child learns how to adjust with different children.

Some children who are always used to being pampered at home may find it difficult to adjust in school, when all his or her demands are not met. However, this adjustment has to be developed in such children as it is not always that everyone gets their demands and wants met.

Of course, formal education that is imparted in preschool learning is also very important for the developing child. They learn how to read, do mathmatics, learn the basics of science and get a basic idea of what the outside world is like and develop learning skills. With preschool learning the child learns to distinguish words, use language, solving problems with numbers and to read books.

All these traits are important for the child in future classes and education. Without this basic education, the child will find education to be a very difficult process and may sometimes hate going to school. This is because as all the other children that may have had preschool learning that the child did not have preschool learning may find studies more difficult than others.

Evaluate The Session With Your Tutor

By Kenneth

If you have been reading the other articles I have written, then you should know that you should always be in the loop of your childs education. If you are in the loop, then you should get to know what has happened for the whole of the lesson. You should have a small talk with your tutor for a maximum of 5 minutes (since you will not be paying him for the extra time he spends at your house) asking questions about your child.

One of the things that you should know is what your child has been taught. This is so that you can do your own revision with your child, and your child should have no reason not to know that specific topic that has been taught by his tutor. You can also gauge your tutors ability by testing your child on the topics that has been taught. If you saw that your child is still weak in that particular topic, you can request your tutor to prepare more questions for your child to do in the next lesson. I am sure that your tutor will not mind picking up a 2 minute call from you. Just remember to inform him earlier if you want to dictate what he teaches in the next lesson. Sometimes the tutor may have already prepared his lesson, so the best thing is to inform him at least 2 days in advance!

You can also check with him if your child has been improving. Your tutor should be able to tell you whether your child is better than before, or whether he requires more tuition sessions.

Remember, it is vital to maintain open communication channels between your tutor and yourself. After all, it costs nothing to ask your tutor or keep him back for a few minutes. However, if you do not open your mouth to ask or be concerned with your child, it will cost your child his grades. Be a responsible parent and always evaluate the session with your tutor. Be in the loop.

Start Your Childs Education Early

By Rachel Thompson

While adults typically think of play-time as a form of entertainment, it can actually teach your child a great deal about themselves and the world around them. Believe it or not, playing peek-a-boo is actually beneficial for your child. The earlier a child develops these skills, the more significant the long term impact will be.

Self-esteem, confidence, coordination, problem-solving skills, and social skills, are but a few examples of the benefits that can be gained through play. Self esteem can be enhanced by responding affectionately to your childs actions. Whether they coo, gurgle, burp, cry or smile, giving your child a positive reaction and providing lots of enthusiasm will have incredible benefits.

Physical coordination can be developed by changing your childs position, and allowing him/her the opportunity to move about. Encourage movement and mobility at an early age by placing toys and objects a short distance away from your child. Giving your child different toys with different shapes, textures and colors will encourage interaction and help develop physical coordination. There are many toys on the market specifically designed to stimulate creative thought and action.

Playing hide-and-seek can help your child develop problem solving skills. By placing a toy behind your back and encouraging your baby to find it, you will give your child an early appreciation for cause and effect. Also by giving a baby a rattle, the baby will comprehend they can make noise by themselves if they shake it. An understanding of cause and effect will put your child on the right path to a lifetime of learning.

As your child grows older, consider giving your child some household duties or chores. A child as young as two can start to learn the meaning of responsibility. Use the word 'special' frequently and give them age-appropriate tasks such as handing out napkins at the dinner table. Be sure to encourage your child through positive affirmation of his/her actions.

The following are other general tips to enhance the developmental stages of your young childs life:

* Go to the library with your child to pick out a book, and then read it together.

* Encourage your child to explore arts and crafts to develop their creative side.

* The internet is a great educational tool for children. There are some great sites out there!

* Watch TV with your child and talk about what they see on screen.

* Buy them educational toys.

* Allow your child the opportunity to interact with other children regularly.

Planning Your Childs Education

By Tony Robinson

Here am a few simple steps to help your financial planning of your childrens education.

One. Make an accurate estimates of the educational costs. First on the list would be tuition fees, and you must try to anticipate the rise in fees over the next several years until the child finally graduates. Equipment such as books and supplies also form a main part of education expenses include such things as pens, paper, photocopying and other expenses that should be included. Dont forget to Include school uniforms, school outings, school camps, recreational activities and any extra tuition fees.

Two. Parents must identify available sources for funding for childs education. Look into the possibility of where funds can be arranged. Is there any financial aid which is available from the beginning of your childs educational career? Often assistance can depend upon the total amount of the school fees and also how much the school really wants that particular child to enrol and whether the school gives scholarships. A great idea is always make a short list of schools and see what every schools can offer to your particular child. There are also many local groups and religious groups that provide scholarships.

Three. Payment options. Parents must look into possible payment options that are made available by the institution or school being considered.

Four. Parents are always advised to start saving for their childs education as early as possible. Young couples starting off in life should consider beginning a savings bank account to cater for future childs educational needs.

Five. Parents could consider developing an investment strategy. This is advisable so that you are better able to afford your childs education. Savings alone may not be enough, whereas savings wisely invested may go to cover the full cost of your childs education.

In todays economy, many parents struggle from payday to the next payday to make ends meet. Having large educational bills doesnt help to balance the budget. Therefore it is most important that parents look into every possible form of assistance and strategize to be able to offer the educational needs of the child.
